Freaky General

Tina   Suzhou Foreign Language School Elite Girls’ Class

General George Smith Patton, Junior, is a general of the USA in the 1940s. he is looking forward to winning a prize for the best general in the world.

It is said that he has practised very hard for the competition. But actually, he did not practice at all. According to the battles he had ever joined in, he thought that he had excellent skills and he was pretty sure that he would win the contest.

When he came to the wide and grassy battlefield, he did an enormous speech to his soldiers, ‘Now, I want you to remember that, no bastard ever won a war, by dying for his country ...’ The soldier were tired of his long speech and all of a sudden, they ran to fight with the enemies----the Nazis. But the Nazis were ready. They poked holes on the ground and put invisible arrows in them. The soldiers all tripped over and bumped into others.

‘An army is a team. We fight, sleep, eat as a team. Now we have the finest food and the finest man in the world...’ Just then, the enemies surrounded the general. They pointed their weapons at him. General Patton tried his best to struggle but he failed. At last, he grabbed a rusty sword on the ground and threw it to the Nazis. He was captured, but was released ten years later.

After he came back home, his little grandson asked him eagerly, ‘Grandpa, what did you do in the Great World War Two?’ and he responded, ‘Well, I shoveled shit for the Nazis.’
